100 things about Emily

  1. One of the earliest memories I have is of when I was about 3 and we went to Disneyland in California. My mother made my sister and I sit in a giant Dumbo thingy and took pictures.
 
2. I am warning you now these are likely to be long-ish.
 
3. I am still close friends with the first person I can ever remember being friends with; she is Lisa and I love her.

6. If someone I dislike starts loving a fandom I’ve been into for years I avoid them like the plague because I don’t want to know what they think about it.
 
7. When something happens my sister Meg or Shannon are the first people I want to tell.
 
8. My morals are a lot different to my mother and fathers; I think books like Harry Potter taught me more morals growing up than they did.
 
9. I think that sometimes I inadvertently make people feel stupid, and I hate that about myself because I hate feeling like that.
 
10. It is almost physically impossible for me to tell a short story; one thing leads to another and then to another and I quite often find myself saying ‘GOD DAMN I RAMBLE A LOT’ before I actually get to the point.
 
11. People always come to me with their problems, and I always try to give them the best advice.
 
12. I want to paint one of my walls yellow but my father refuses to let me until my room stays clean for more than 2 weeks. This means my wall will never be yellow.
 
13. My moods feed off other people’s moods.
 
14. I love babies. A good day for me is spending the day cuddling and photographing my little cousins.
 
15. I was depressed for 2 whole days after the Doctor Who episode Doomsday cos GOD DAMN THAT MOMENT WHEN ROSE IS SCREAMING AND CRYING AND HITTING THE WALL AND HE’S ON THE OTHER SIDE?! D: D:
 
 16. My Nan gave me and my sister a teddy called Rose to ‘take care of’ once she had died. I remember her giving it to us. It still smells like her, if a little dustier.
 
17. FOR THE CHRISTMAS OF MY 18TH YEAR I GOT INTERACTIVE BUZZ AND WOODY DOLLS. THEY TALK TO EACH OTHER. My brother is 24 and his face lit up like a child when I showed him.
 
18. I am an Original Pickle. Jamie is still my favourite.
 
19. Good vocals make every inch of me thrum, whether they be male or female.
 
20. I can’t understand being so jealous of someone that it makes you hate them; I am not a jealous person, yet I understand that it’s not really a controllable thing.
 
21. My favourite Disney movie is The Little Mermaid. I watched it repeatedly as a child because I loved listening to her sing and the ocean fascinated me.
 
22. I am still friends with my first friend from Kinder. Her name’s Maddie and we have nostalgic-memory-sessions every once and while.
 
23. I have great respect for people who have their religious faith and don’t force it on others, nor condemn those who don’t share their views.
 
24. I did German at school so I started calling my Dad ‘Vati.’ I told him the German word for daughter is ‘Tochter’ and he now calls me ‘Tocky’ like it’s an actual word.
 
25. When Vati comes home and see’s me and says ‘Ahhh, Tocky! How was your day?’ and gives me a hug it’s the best ever.
 
26. As much as I want to live and work in London I know I will miss Mum and home like crazy and it scares me.

28. Shannon is my best friend because she will always get my references and she will never judge me for fangirling like crazy because she will be fangirling with me. Guaranteed.
 
29. I name inanimate objects cos I can’t not. My iPod is Tom, my phone is Colin, my Macbook Pro is Eric, my camera is Charlie.  YES THEY’RE ALL MALE. WHAT OF IT!?
 
30. IT’S 11.45 AND I HAVE TO GET UP SUPER EARLY TOMORROW UGH.
 
31. WHEN I START THINGS AND I’M IN THE MOOD TO DO THEM I CAN’T STOP UNTIL I’M FINISHED.
 
 32. I like to write but I don’t have enough ideas to write anything that would get me anywhere. I write for a hobby.
 
33. I study at Photography Studies College in Melbourne. I ain’t no teen with a

35. I adore McFly with my heart and soul. It is not something I can or want to control. I love many a band but they are the ultimate. They are just them. And their music is them but it’s also everything that’s catchy and everything that makes you wanna dance and everything that helps you when you’re a bit lost. They make you proud to be their fans. And they spoil us rotten!
 
36. I was depressed for 2 whole days after the Doctor Who episode Journey’s End cos GOD DAMN ROSE GOT HER DOCTOR BUT THE DOCTOR DIDN’T GET HIS ROSE AND THEN HE HAD TO GO AND WIPE HIS BESTIE’S MEMORY WHEN HE LOVED HIS BESTIE AND JUST GUH R.T.D WHY SO CRUEL!?
 
37. I was totally into drawing turtles and seahorses as a kid.
 
38. Harry Potter has been there since I was 11 and will always be there when I need it. There is not one speck of shame or embarrassment in me in relation to my love for it.
 
39. I am slightly OCD. Stacks of things have to be of equal height.  If I buy a DVD of a TV series, if the covers are not the same it will irritate me for the rest of time. Eg:

40. I am meant to be writing a Folio Proposal right now but I am doing this instead

44. I was walking around the city the other week and a lady walked by with a stuffed SpongeBob and was all ‘You want one?’ I RAN FOR THAT SPONGEBOB:

 
45. Shannon saw SpongeBob in my room and said ‘YOU DIDN’T TELL ME THE SPONGEBOB WAS THAT BIG!’ It was a proud moment for me.

48. I dislike Twilight cos I dislike it. I read it and everything, before the hype hit. I was like, ew, AS IF YOU TAKE THE ENIGINE OUT OF HER CAR, EDWARD, YOU CONTROLLING FREAK.
 
 49. Dylan Moran is hilarious to me. As is Bill Bailey. Therefore Black Books is epic.
 
50. I adore music and books. They get me through everything.
 
51. I am heterosexual.
 
52. I have these sick fingerless gloves that have little mitten coverings that you can button down if you need to use your hands.

54. I support Gay Rights not to be ‘cool’, but because I always have and I cannot comprehend not supporting them. 
 
55. Today I made Meg watch me to see if my pupils dilated when I looked at THOSE NEW PICTURES of Colin Morgan because apparently they dilate when you see something that attracts you. She lol’d really hard cos apparently they dilated quite a lot.
 
56. I have never felt such burning lust as I feel when I see Colin Morgan and his perfection. Damn, that man can act. And the camera loves him.
 
57. Meg went to Queensland last year for Uni and went to Movie world and she brought me back a Harry Potter doll from the shop there.

 60. My sister used to tell me I was making memories up from when we were small or only remembering them because they were in pictures. She later confessed it was cos she was jealous that SHE didn’t remember.

64. You Me At Six came in September last year and their shows was one of the best I have ever been to.

66. I went to the live MuggleCast in Melbourne in 2008 and I got to hug Eric Scull. IT WAS REALLY RAD. HE HAD HIS HOGWARTS ROBES ON. :D
 
67. No matter how I try to unclutter my beside table, it just doesn’t work. Ever. Same with the top of my chest of drawers.
 
68. My room is always a mess, but I know exactly where everything is. And if I don’t it’s cos someone else moved it.
 
69. I hate when my parent’s say they can’t get through the door of my room. WAT CHU TALKIN’ BOUT, YO?! I CAN WALK IN THERE FINE!
 
70. I believe Shaun Micallef is a genius. Nay, I know!
 
71. I do most of my thinking in bed at night or on the train, when I have my music on.
 
72. If I can’t shut my brain down at night when I’m trying to sleep, I try to put it to good use and imagine all those fictional characters I love sleeping peacefully. It usually works.
 
73. I hate public pools because I nearly vom when I see band-aid’s floating in them.
 
74. I did Gymnastics for a while when I was about 12 but I quit cos all the skinny girls didn’t talk to me.
 
75. I did dancing for about a month then I was about 11 but I quit cos all the skinny girls were better than me and always looked at me when I got it wrong.
 
76. I only really came out of my shell when I was 13/14 because that’s when I got separated from my primary school friends and found my real ones.
 
78. Shannon used to irritate me because she was so timid. She never seemed to stand up for herself, and I hated that she let people walk on her. She knows this about me. Our friendship really formed when we went to Germany for 3 weeks on a school trip in 2008, and me and our other friend continuously annoyed her until she snapped back and told us to stop. At which point we would grin at her and tell her that that’s what we were waiting for.
 
79. David Tennant is brilliance.
 
80. I shake like a leaf when I’m nervous.
 
81. Being stranded in the middle of an ocean that’s over 1km deep scares the living daylights out of me.
 
82. Deathly Hallows came out when I was 15. ‘And to you, if you have stuck with Harry until the very end’ is what made me cry the hardest, filled with mingled terror and excitement prior to reading it and sitting on the floor in shock after finishing.
 
83. I have a TARDIS that opens up to be a card holder sitting on my bedside table. I also have Ten’s sonic on my bedside table. I AM ALWAYS PREPARED FOR
ATTACK. I need to get 11’s.
 
84. Matt Smith is glorious, as himself, as 11, and as every other character he plays.
 
85. I flew to Sydney to see McFly play a full show for the first time on the 27th of February 2008, and it still remains possibly the best night of my life so far.
 
86. I started this the other day and am now continuing. I’m quite hungry but Mum still hasn’t steamed the broccoli.
 
87. I would do it myself but our microwave is dodgy and I don’t know who we’re feeding.
 
88. My mother always interrupts me or talks to someone else when I am talking to her.
 
89. Today, I was telling her something, and she turned around and started listening to the messages on the answering machine. And then started talking to Dad. And when I calmly wondered out loud why I even talk to her, she yelled and told me not to crack it.
 
90. Holy Smokes is something I have recently started exclaiming. I like it.

92. Brendon Urie can conduct my symphony anytime he wants.

96. I don’t see some of my other best friends as much as I’d like, and I miss them terribly cos they make me laugh and we dance and we get our mojo on.
 
97. MOJO MADE ME THINK OF TRANSFORMERS. I LOVE TRANSFORMERS.
 
98. I think Emma Watson is walking class. She just radiates it.
 
99. I am so very proud of the Darren Criss for making it big with a character such
as Blaine. But he’s still Harry Freakin’ Potter.
